Artist Statement: Fantasia of a Shaman's lair, the quilt employs Japanese Indigo fabric, raffia, beads, feathers, lace, threads, painting, and buttons. The serpent represents long life and wisdom, the beads might be eggs representing birth and beginnings.

Materials & Techniques: Applique by hand and machine with hand beading, embroidery and piecing. The quilting is by machine.
