Artist Statement: I love the colors and the red glow of leaves in the forests of Western Washington. This quilt is based on a photograph I took at Lake Cushman in October, 2008.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton batik, tulle, commercial and hand-dyed fabrics by the artist and Just Imagination. Raw edge and fused applique, machine quilted, covered with a layer of tulle.
