Artist Statement: I love pattern and find it everywhere, from the drumbeats of world music to busy urban streets, from ethnic textiles to garden fences, anywhere man or nature has taken an element and used it in repetition. Along with my love for rich, saturated colors, these painted strips allowed me a delightful time combining two of my favorite things.
