Artist Statement: Ballet is considered a dance of light flowing figures creating a theatrical art form to convey a story, theme or atmosphere. Phosphorescence emitted by jellyfish undulating in tidal currents adds spendor to their dance for life, evoking ballet.

Materials & Techniques: Silk and cotton, paint. Appliqué, machine couching, painting, and layering.
