Artist Statement: I enjoy making quilts based on photographs. I love starting with a pile of fabric scraps and watching the image take shape piece by piece. When looking for inspiration, I came across a photo of a friend's daughter swinging towards the camera, wind in her hair, a big smile on her face, and I thought it perfectly captured joy in motion.
