Artist Statement: I find the tenacious Cliff Penstemon, a tiny red flower clinging to a damp rock ledge, in the Cascade Mountains in August. They remind me to find my niche, persevere, and shine with nifty color.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabrics hand-dyed. Threads rayon and cotton. Machine piecing and quilting, stuffing, hand sewing to attach separate quilt sections, dye and ink pens.
