Artist's Statement: Our country has a tenuous relationship of cooperation with Russia. In the years to come we hope that the "chains" of this relationship will continue to tighten through peaceful negotiations. This is the second in a series of quilts depicting this collaboration. "Sorok dva" translated from Russian means forty-two.

Materials and Techniques: Fabrics hand-dyed by the artist. Pieced by machine, collaged by machine, machine quilted.
