Artist Statement: We try to reconstruct the past from the fragments left behind, pieces of a puzzle that never quite fit. The quilting motifs in this piece are inspired by ancient Mexican designs many of which still figure in modern textiles.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial felt, cotton batting, and commercial fabrics which have been quilted, dyed, discharged, and painted.
