Artist Statement: I was thinking of fashion paradigms when I started this series. Each petal of this enlarged version of the Dresden Plate pattern is quilted, embellished and has a zipper attached to both long sides. This allows you to arrange the petals in any order. The finished piece can function as wall art, as a cape, or as a skirt.
