Artist Statement: This version of a Pacific Northwest button blanket concerns the commercialization of nature and of ethnic cultural imagery, the somewhat demented results of trying to craft personal meaningfulness as culture changes, and the enduring urge to collect and embellish. The button blanket can be worn or displayed on the wall.
