Artist Statement: My art is a moment captured in fabric. It could be a thought, some shape or texture that has caught my eye, a wonderful aroma, or a funny phrase that travels around in my brain. These moments are the fuel for my work.

I work intuitively without a plan but always with a destination in mind. I love the new and the unexpected pieces that evolve in improvisational work. They provide me with a way to explore my thoughts and feelings without expectations. I am enthralled with the idea that a feeling can be blue, a word can be jagged, and music can be seen in the stitch.

Like me, my work is constantly evolving and moving into new directions. Expressing myself through my art is a way to record this journey and tell my story.
