Artist Statement: Homeless Man was inspired by the painting Funeral George by Michael Howell that appeared in the Seattle Weekly in January, 1996. I tried to create the feeling of a dark, wet city night surrounding the abstracted person.

Materials & Techniques: Solid and batik cottons. Machine pieced and hand quilted.
