Artist Statement: Many hours of my childhood in Kodiak were spent on the beach making piles of rocks, lines of rocks, collecting rocks. The details of each one fascinated me with unique color, shape and line.

Materials & Techniques: The rocks are created by free-motion quilting yarns and ribbon over cotton fabric. The rocks are spaced and sewn to three layers of free-motion thread lace.
