Tattoo

Artist Statement: This quilt, inspired by the poem “Tattoo” by Sylvia Byrne Pollock, is dedicated to several friends who lost their breasts or lives to breast cancer – I offer them all a selection of dragon tattoos.
Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed, clamp-resist cotton and poem/dragons printed silk chiffon. Clamp-resist, hand-dyed cotton, printed poem and dragons on silk chiffon, silk-screened dragons – all by Melodie Bankers
