Artist Statement: Trees are a recurring theme in human symbology — in Old Norse Legend, the World Tree held Chaos at bay, delineating the spaces occupied by humankind, the gods, and the underworld.
Materials & Techniques: Discharged cotton; silk, cotton, rayon and metallic quilting threads. Machine pieced and quilted.
