Artist's Statement: Lynne started quilting about 20 years ago beginning with traditional designs and techniques. In 2001 she became fascinated by the combination of metal and fabrics in the Japanese armor she saw during a visit to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art and started to incorporate the two into her work.
Materials and Techniques: Silk, cotton, and acrylic fabrics; beads; copper wire, sheeting, and rivets; embroidery floss and specialty threads. Hand and machine quilting, hand embroidered and embellished, hand knitted and manipulated copper wire.
