Artist Statement: This was originally black-and-white, but I decided to dye it after piecing. I mounted it on a piece of black fabric that I had discharged, and I think it works better. It reminds me of autumn in my yard.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabric hand-dyed and discharged by the artist, polyester thread. Machine pieced and quilted, hand stitching.
