Artist Statement: Delta was inspired by a poem of the same name by Adrienne Rich and by the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The triangle shape, the Greek letter Delta, harkens back to the poem and to the power of the river.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton hand-dyes by the artist. Machine pieced, machine quilted.
