Artist Statement: I enjoy walking the beach, picking up shells.  Recently I found the remains of an aluminum soft drink can, and by its pull tab could tell whoever enjoyed that beverage ignored the message printed on it and carelessly tossed it aside at least 30 years ago.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton batik and prints; metallic, rayon, cotton threads; novelty yarns, handmade cords, found objects, beads.  Machine pieced and quilted, fiber manipulation, machine appliqué, machine surface embellishment, hand beading.
