Artist Statement: Chrysanthemums are one of my favorite flowers. I carried a bouquet of them on my wedding day. Years ago, before I discovered quilt making, I was an avid gardener and had a large flower garden filled with a variety of mums.

When I designed this quilt I thought about petals, leaves and vases for the flowers.
