Artist's Statement: The devastating force of wild fires seems to return in the news year after year. But fire also has a beautiful fascination to look at and observe it, and watch the renewal of nature afterwards.

Materials and Techniques: Machine pieced with hand-dyed and one comercial 100% cotton, facing applied on cut-outs. Burmese- and Dupioni silk, gold netting quilted in seperate layers, silk thread and copper metallic used for quilting the top layer.
