Artist Statement: This quilt is the ninth in a series of quilts and poems inspired by the Japanese American Internment camps during World War II. This piece was designed using a photo of steps in the garden next to the camp hospital.

Materials & Techniques: Batiks, machine quilting, beading, machine appliqué. Based on a photo abstracted in Adobe® Photoshop®.
