Artist Statement: On a cruise in 2013 I became fascinated by the patterns of reflections in the water and took many close-up photos,zooming in until the reflections looked like abstract expressionist paintings. This is an interpretation of one of my photographs.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabric and pencil. Machine pieced, appliqued, and quilted.
