Artist Statement: "Trying to Stay Neutral" grew out of my sister-in-law calling me "Switzerland." I try to be a person who stays unbiased in contentious situations, attempting to see all sides of a story and helping others to view things from a different perspective. However, as this piece exhibits, there are spots of "hot red" amongst the neutrals.
