Artist Statement: This was inspired by the winter of 2005-06 when the Seattle area came very close to breaking its record of consecutive days of rain.
Materials & Techniques: Silk, cotton and acrylic fabrics, beads and copper strips. The pedestal is a wooden box covered with black rayon bookcloth with a metal support. Hand quilted, hand embroidered and embellished fabrics. Woven, manipulated and riveted copper strips.
