Artist Statement: This photo taken while visiting The Living Desert Zoo in Palm Desert sparked the idea of being on a journey. Life is a journey and I thought this quilt would be a great way to showcase photos of memorable moments and people from my early years. Materials & Techniques: Fused commercial and dyed cotton fabrics with 50/50 silk/cotton. Recycled woven rug remnants. Inkjet photo transfer onto commercial fabrics of childhood family and friends.
