Artist Statement: Sangria is the 4th piece in my "Hangover" series where I extend objects from a top quilt onto a foundation quilt. The top pieces are raised to give the piece a three-dimensional quality.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cotton fabrics, beads, foamboard, paintsticks. Raw edge machine applique (fusing), beading, painting, machine quilting.
