Artist Statement: At night the world appears quiet and mothionless. But if you look up close on this quilt there are plenty of dragonflies flitting about.

This quilt was created to celebrate the Japanese festival "Obon" which celebrates the spirits of ones ancestors....a night where fireflies and spirits silently dance.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed cotton sateen, beading; micro machine quilting, machine and hand appliqué
