Artist Statement: Motion fast and slow: A sudden motion breaks dishes into useless pieces of sharp fired clay. Then, the discarded shards settle into the earth, moving into the archeological record and then geological strata. This is one of a series of quilts focusing on a table setting of plates and napkins.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial prints and solid cotton fabric; hand-dyed cotton fabric by the artist; cotton batting; cotton, polyester, and blended threads. Machine pieced and machine quilted.
