Artist Statement: There is a special level of The Inferno for daughters-in-law who expect both sets of grandparents to look relaxed and celebratory while sitting through a two-hour birthday party of screaming five-year olds.

Materials & Techniques: Two pieces of silk jacquard art cloth each with multiple (10+) layers of dyed, silk-screened and discharged imagery, cut into one-inch strips and woven together, the interlacement held in place with Misty Fuse. Hand stitched through all layers with Loop Stitch and French Knots in linen, silk, cotton and metallic threads.
