Artist Statement: Passions and Plans is a 5-part ensemble of pants, blouse, short vest, coat and hat. It is a mixture of intuitive spontaneity and carefully planned and designed constructs. It was made for the 2001 Bernina Fashion Show which premiered at International Quilt Market in Houston that year.
Materials & Techniques: Commercial and hand marbled silks with microfiber. Beads, Krienik "Facets" trimming satin acetate lining. Applique, threadwork, beading, hand and machine quilting.
