Artist Statement: These "flowers of sickness" show the damage to my joints from erosive osteoarthritis. A thin "batting" and longer and finer needles with metallic thread allow me to continue for now the hand work I love. Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabric, nylon "batting," metallic thread, beading. Self-designed and self-printed fabric is hand-quilted with metallic thread and hand-beaded.
