Artist Statement: Sustainable life for the future will require renewable, healthy energy sources. More trees are needed to clean the carbon dioxide and return oxygen for our breathing.

Materials & Techniques: Materials: Cotton, hand-dyed and commercial, and one piece of brown silk, hand dyed.
Techniques: Drawing with ink pens, colored pens, and oil sticks. Machine piecing and quilting. A few pieces fused. .
