Artist Statement: These small green and pink anemones can only be seen when the water recedes with the tide. Materials & Techniques: The center of each anemone is painted cotton fabric. For the anemone tentacles, silk organza backed with misty fuse was "cut" using a heat tool, then painted. Up to four layers of tentacles were fused and then free motion appliquéd to the quilt sandwich.
