Artist Statement: Whenever I think of the bounty of the Yakima area I think of apples and the impact they have made on Washington's economy. The chance to work on a large piece that could be viewed from both sides was irresistible.

Materials & Techniques: Silk organza, black resist, dyes, variety of threads, paint, glitter, plastic cording, wire; hand painted fabric with resist, quilted leaves, embroidery, painting details.
