Artist Statement: The chili-pepper colors were chosen to express the direct graphic message SALSA and the slightly less obvious PICANTE. This two-sided quilt has a back that is very red in an almost standard quilt pattern, just loosened up a bit to reference chopped tomatoes.

Materials & Techniques: Machine appliqued letters on screen-printed fabric.
