Artist Statement: Creating a recipe such as salsa, one must bring all the colors of tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, onions, and garlic together. The last step it to put it in a container to encase those colors so they don't run all over the table and floor.
Materials & Techniques: Silk, acrylic and natural threads and yarns, copper wire, copper sheeting, copper rivets. Heavily machine-quilted silk, hand pieced; hand knitted copper wire, patinated copper sheeting and hand riveted.
