Artist Statement: Plants spice up our life and provide food for our bodies and souls. Even diatoms, which are aquatic, single-celled plants that are so small they can only be seen with a microscope, are a visual feast for the eyes.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-painted cotton fabric on felt, machine quilted on top of a 2nd quilt layer made with commercial cotton fabric and batting.
