Artist Statement: This quilt celebrates the Japanese festival "Obon", a festival where participants honor the spirits of their ancestors. Part of the celebration includes participating in a dance dressed in a kimono.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed fabric. Micro-quilting, hand appliqué and piecing, beading.
