Melisse Laing - Seeing the LightArtist Statement: When I recieved an invitation from Nancy Crow to participate in "Color Improvisations" the first international juried exhibition of quilts no smaller than 6 feet square, I designed two of the biggest quilts I'd ever made. I made several attempts before "seeing the Light", this one worked. Materials & Techniques: Fabrics hand-dyed by the artist, polyester thread; machjine pieced and quilted.
