Artist Statement: The idea of creation from nothing, as described in Genesis 1, has, for a long time, pulled my soul in wonder at the diversity, color and beauty of that creation. In this piece, the first of a series on creation, the Third Day is interpreted: here dry land emerges and plants explode into the earth, bringing abundant life.
