Artist Statement: Fond memories of my grade school "Emerson Elementary" in Okla. City. First day of school required a brand new plaid dress made just for me by my talented seamstress mother, Zell.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cottons, pearl cotton thread. Machine pieced, machine quilted and hand stitched.
