Kristin Dukay - Stop Dragin' Your TailArtist Statement: "Stop Dragin' Your Tail!" commemorates the morning ritual of trying to get a preschool child dressed and out of the house. The collage incorporates the clothes you are trying to get the child into and some of the many distractions that make progress slow. Materials and Techniques: Quilted collage with printed vinyl sheeting forming the top layer and acrylic felt the bottom layer. Sandwiched between these two layers are purchased and found objects, brocade and cotton fabrics, and commercial embroidered letters. The open teeth of red plastic zippers form the quilt border. Dimensions: 20" wide x 24" high Stop Dragin' Your Tail! © 2001 by Kristin Dukay |
