Artist Statement: This quilt was inspired by a series of doodles that I made using a curved line with spokes that began to resemble ripped seams. The color scheme was chosen to emphasize the figure/ground relationship and to give the quilt the feeling of excitement.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial and hand-dyed fabric. Freehand cut, machine pieced and quilted.
