Artist Statement: This is the fifth quilt in a series of 20 based on stories and images from the Japanese American internment.  This particular quilt is based on a photo I took at Manzanar.

Materials & Techniques: Applique, machine quilting, and beading. The quilt was machine quilted by Mary Arnold and myself
