Ginnie Hebert - Light of the World IIArtist Statement: This is my interpretation of an exploding star, sending its dust into the universe. As expressed by Lawrence M. Krauss: “Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: Your are all stardust.” Materials & Techniques: Whole cloth, dyed and discharged by artist, painted, machine quilted, embellished with crystals. Dimensions: 17" x 37" Photographer: Ginnie Hebert |
