Artist Statement: Fallen ginkgo leaves scattered on temple walkways made of intricately placed stone created a beautiful contrast.  An original design inspired by an autumn walk in Kamakura, Japan.

Materials & Techniques: Materials - Dupioni silks (handloomed and commercial), antique kimono remnants, bamboo batting, commercial cotton, #50 cotton thread (piecing), #100 silk thread and #40 Sulky polyester (quilting), copper foil.  Techniques - Foundation pieced on vellum, machine pieced, machine quilted, copper foil embossed.
