Artist Statement: Lightening glistens on the caps of the waves, then drifts down through the boiling waves creating a light show. It reflects into the waves and the foam as they seek a path to the sand and the shore.

Materials & Techniques: Paper pieced Storm at Sea blocks, Lightning bolts mesh sliver raw edge applique. 80/20 Warm & natural batting. Free motion quilting with both Superior King Tut threads and Sulky Silver metallic thread.
