Artist Statement: Nightlights began with a doodle, hand-drawn on the touch-screen of my computer. A photo of one of the fabrics I dye-painted twenty years ago, was used to fill the various shapes between the lines. The colors of the finished quilt design suggested mysterious lights emerging on a dark night.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabric, cotton/bamboo batting, Polyester & acrylic threads dye painting, digital drawing and painting, digital printing, free-motion machine quilting
