Artist Statement: Even at the bleakest time of year trees hold an abundance of life. I envision them singing to each other under a cold winter moon. If the moon can pull the tides, can she not also draw songs from the sleeping hearts of trees?

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed and commercial cottons, lame, and recycled silk, pieced and appliqued, machine quilted and hand embellished
